The African Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the EDGE Institute of Senegal. The Partnership is aimed at exploiting ways to harness the strengths of both parties to foster unity and progress of the African continent.
The EDGE Institute is an educational body that has produced, under its tutorship and mentorship projects, legends of the African game. They organise many seminars, symposiums and other events that seek to educate the African, and provide advise and counsel to the key players in Senegalese government and the football sector.
The EDGE Institute is the only academic institution in Senegal offering Bachelors and Masters degrees and certificates with a sports focus to students from different francophone countries in Africa. The institute was established by Professor Abdoulaye Sakho, a distinguished law professor with over 30 years of experience who is well known in the sports industry in Senegal, francophone Africa, and beyond.
Our association with them seeks to see us provide our intellectual support, making available our array of experts in their programmes in achieving continent-wide priority education that will enhance the capacity of people through sport; while the Institute on their own hand, will provide scientific support to us in events of educational interest that we organise, among other things.
It is always great to spread the net of partnership, alliance and affiliation with reputable organisations to highlight our desire and commitment to place education high on our list of priorities in using football to build a better Africa.
