AFOJA IS BORN - FOOTBALL JOURNOS HAVE A HOME

Announcing the birth of the African Football Journalists Association (AFOJA), an association that is set up to look after all manner of welfare, wellbeing and integrity of the profession of journalists covering football in Africa. Open to membership that would be made of pen-men and pen-women who specialise on, and are involved in the coverage of African football, the Association is a product of a desire to return to the basics of football coverage - unbiased, unpoliticised and professionalism with a touch of class.

THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF AFOJA

Tunde Adelakun - Chief Executive

An established specialist school of advanced learning football journalism incorporating reporting, languages, software match analysis, interview techniques, content creation, business in journalism among other modules to enhance the knowledge base of the average African football journalist who is an AFOJA member.

A club of elite African football journalists that will present a common front in uniform fashion at all tournaments worldwide

Using AFOJA to create a support network for aspiring but underprivileged journalists, as well as journalists and members of repute and standing who might have fallen on hard times

A part of the Association that will ensure that the voices and needs of our members are heard and addressed where they can’t succeed individually. Areas of media accreditation for global tournaments, visa applications for access to some parts of the world, and areas of liaison with established authority will form part of this section.

A part of the Association that will promote and encourage a robust exchange of ideas and opportunities amongst the business and corporate world to empower and enhance the capacity of African football journalists in the pursuit of corporate sponsors, business ideas and prospects.
